Professor Rob Knight is a trailblazer in microbiome research and the founding director of the Center for Microbiome Innovation at UC San Diego. His work has illuminated the vast and complex ecosystems of microbial life that exist within and around us. By integrating high-throughput sequencing with computational biology, Prof. Knight has transformed our understanding of microbial communities, health, and disease.
